Sorry to tear you away from the wonderful world of Final Fantasy 7, but since you do not know what VII means, I will just have to teach you. Trust me, it'll help. And trust me, this is the only time that you can trust someone who says trust me. Trust me.
| Normal numbers | Roman numerals |
|---|---|
| 1 | I |
| 2 | II |
| 3 | III |
| 4 | IV |
| 5 | V |
| 6 | VI |
| 7 | VII |
| 8 | VIII |
| 9 | IX |
| 10 | X |
As you can see, I = 1, V = 5, and X = 10. III would be 3, but why isn't 4 IIII? Well, you can only pair three of one letter (like I) in a row. So you put an I before the V (5), meaning to take 1 away from 5. (4) Therefore, IX is nine. (I is 1, X is 10, 10 - 1 is 9) You should now know the Roman numerals from 1 to 10. You should also be able to guess how to write 11. If you have no clue, I'll just tell you now that it is XI.
